In the year 1994, Goverment approved (Orignal) scheme for the Establishment of Govt Monotechnic Institute, Asu Goth, Malir, Karachi.

In the year 1994, Goverment approved (Orignal) scheme for the Establishment of Govt Monotechnic Institute, Asu Goth, Malir, Karachi costing Rs. 15.821 Million (Capital Rs 10.750+ Revenue Rs 5.071 Million) vide Administrative Approval No.SO(PD-I)(93)/92-93, Dated: 22-01-1994.

Subsequently due to escalation in prices for Civil and Electrical works for Purchase of Machinery / Equipment / Furniture & Fixture, Tools, Books etc. In the year 2001 , Revised scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 20.756 Million (Capital Rs 15.685+ Rs 7.071 Million) was approved.

With the approval of City District Goverment , Karachi and in order to secur and safe the newly constructed building of the Monotechnic Institute first batch of DAE course in Refrigeration & Air-conditioning Technology during the session 2003-2004 was enrolled. Simultaneously Computer Information / Electronics and Refrigeration & Air conditioning Technologies in the Evening Shift were also started.
